Award categories
There are five award categories you could consider for your entry:
- Category A: Changing tomorrow - Leadership
Recognising and rewarding individuals or teams who are leading positive change within their clinic, ward community or any health setting. What could you enter? Any project or initiative that has demonstrated true leadership in improving healthcare for patients – for example, leading the establishment or improvement of a particular service, designing and implementing a care pathway, leading a collaboration or driving an educational initiative. - Category B: Changing tomorrow - Commitment
Recognising and rewarding individuals or teams who have shown exceptional commitment to their patients or their staff in a challenging environment.
What could you enter? Any project or initiative that has needed tenacity and commitment to achieve success – for example taking care services to hard-to-reach parts of the population, overcoming limited resources to deliver excellent care or supporting and inspiring other health professionals in a pressurised workplace. - Category C: Changing tomorrow - Innovation
Recognising and rewarding individuals or teams who are changing tomorrow through innovation.
What could you enter? Any project or initiative that has improved care through taking a new approach to an existing challenge – for example, overcoming geographical barriers through the use of new technologies, changing administrative processes to reduce waiting times or introducing a new way of encouraging patients to attend screening appointments. - Category D: Changing tomorrow - Hope
Recognising and rewarding individuals or teams who give patients hope for a better future through the delivery of care and/or support in areas of poorly-met or unmet clinical need.
What could you enter? Any project or initiative that has given hope where there was little before – for example, improving awareness and education in an underserved therapeutic area, creating a support network for patients or campaigning for change to address health inequalities. - Category E: Changing tomorrow - Corporate Social Responsibility
Recognising and rewarding individuals or teams who have introduced initiatives that have had a significant impact on the health and/or wellbeing of a local community or have delivered patient care in a sustainable way.
What could you enter? Any project of initiative that has maintained or improved patient care while making a positive impact on society at large – for example, running a service in a new way to reduce waste, educating a local community about a specific health issue or running initiatives to increase disease awareness.
